In October my painting group hung an exhibit at the Groton Center. We had the honor of having the first display in the gallery of this new community building. Our paintings hung until early May – extended by two months as the building was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. This show included works by seven artists. We have met almost every Monday morning for many years to paint and to learn by critiquing each others’ work. We were saddened by the death of one member shortly after we hung this show. We will miss her laughter, her creative painting style and insightful critique. Our group has not met since late March, and our resumption of group efforts has not yet been determined.
